Making the world a better place is important to us here at Eden – we’re proud of our reputation as a natural, eco-conscious pest control company. But our contribution doesn’t end with our pest control service. There’s always more we can do, which is why the open-hearted ladies in our office have decided to raise money for suicide prevention and children in need.
Throughout 2013, we’ll be raising money for The Moyer Foundation, which provides education and support for children in physical, emotional or financial distress. The charity runs Camp Erin, a bereavement camp for youths who have lost someone close to them, and Camp Mariposa, which serves children with addicted or co-dependent parents. It also created the Gregory Fund to promote early cancer-detection research. By adopting The Moyer Foundation as our flagship charity this year, our office staff hopes to not only make a helpful donation, but to also raise awareness within our community about this caring organization.
But that’s not all we’re up to this year. We also want to get people talking about suicide, a topic dear to our hearts. Every 13.7 minutes, someone in the United States dies from suicide – and public silence around the issue is a problem we’d like to help address. We’ll be participating in benefit walks this year to help raise money, get fit and start some conversations.
We hope you’ll support our office ladies in their efforts to help heal a little of the world’s pain. How much difference can one pest control company make? Watch us in the coming months to find out!
